Rex Manning Day is coming up and we want you to contribute to this year's zine and/or compilation! 

Rex Manning Day is the fake in-store holiday in the film Empire Records, celebrating the arrival of has-been musician, Rex Manning, for an event at the record store. 

Rex Manning may be a fictional rockstar in a fictional record store but this Rex Manning Day, we are putting out a zine about the very real impacts of rock stars, record stores, and fictional musicians on our lives! 

What kind of pieces are we looking for?

Stories, poems, interviews, art, comics, listicles, screeds about: 

• Meeting your musical heroes/crushes 
• Musical tastes in the workplace and navigating your co-workers music preferences
• Record stores: what they've meant to you, what they mean to you, what they mean to communities 
• Empire Records and other movies with fictional musicians that have had an impact on you! 
• And of course, playlists related to/inspired by any of these topics
